Las regiones áridas y semiáridas de Argentina han sufrido un constante deterioro ambiental con la colonización del territorio que en muchos casos se traduce en claros ejemplos de desertificación sin que se cuente aún con información del impacto sobre la fauna local. En estos ambientes se registran una gran diversidad de especies endémicas y muchas de ellas aún permanecen casi desconocidas.

Uno de estos casos paradigmáticos es el Gallito Arena (Teledromas fuscus), especie recientemente categorizada como Insuficientemente Conocida a nivel nacional. El objeto de esta propuesta es actualizar la distribución de la especie en la provincia de La Pampa evaluando el uso y selección de hábitat a distintas escalas espacio-temporales utilizando dos metodologías para su detectabilidad.

ABSTRACT:

The arid and semi-arid regions of Argentina have suffered a constant environmental degradation with the colonization of the territory that in many cases translates into clear examples of desertification without even having information of the impact on local fauna. In these environments there is a great diversity of endemic species and many of them still remain almost unknown. One of these paradigmatic cases is the Gallito Arena (Teledromas fuscus), a species recently categorized as Insufficiently Known at the national level. The purpose of this proposal is to update the distribution of the species in La Pampa province by evaluating the use and selection of habitat at different spatio-temporal scales using two methodologies for its detectability.
