Abstract:

Biodiversity refers to the variability of life of all forms, including within species, between species and diversity of ecosystems; Conducting inventories of terrestrial biodiversity in a specific area is an arduous task, facing major difficulties, mainly the lack of taxonomic knowledge to study, use and properly maintain existing resources. Insects are the most abundant group of animals around the world, finding, almost, anywhere. Protected natural areas (ANP) currently represent one of the most effective in situ conservation of the natural wealth instruments. The province of La Pampa has a low percentage of protected areas, which could be increased with increased biological knowledge and in this case fauna of the region in question. In La Pampa no, until now, work done with bedbugs that will contribute to the knowledge of them. The objective of this project is to conduct a faunal survey of Hemiptera (Heteroptera) in the region of Cerro Black (Payunia Pampeana), northwest of the province, obtaining wealth and abundance of them, as well as their associations with plants present in the study site.
