Abstract:

The family belongs to the Infraorder Nabidae cimicomorpha and consists of insects browning, although some have distinctive designs in red and black color, or green and pink, its size can vary from 2.5 to 15 mm. They are commonly known as damsel bugs or "damsel bug". The Nabidae family consists of 31 genera and 386 species distributed in all geographical regions. The genus Nabis is composed of 16 species in the Nearctic region and 12 in the Neotropical region. They have a habit predator, with many important species in agricultural systems soybean, cotton, alfalfa and snuff, among others. Therefore knowledge of the phylogenetic relationships, taxonomy and biology of this group contribute to the development of future integrated pest management programs.
